View Full Version : Deleting stubborn drivers
OK, I have some additional AVX drivers as well as some keyboard drivers from a keyboard I don't have. I can't delete them. I've tried using Filez, McFile and ZLauncher and nothing works. Maybe there is a certain order but I can not figure this out. Has anybody else had this problem and what can I do?

hmm That never happened but have you tried doing a warm reset (up reset) and then delete the file?
Yes many times over. I even reinstalled the exact same driver and then deleted it. Some how the drivers became part of the ROM. I didn't do it or at least not on purpose or knowledge. I just want to undo what I did.
Any help here guys. How do you delete something from ROM.

If you're trying to delete the one in ROM, it's not going to happen (hence the Read-Only part... because there aren't any flashROM utilities for OS5 Sony available)
However, any file in RAM supersedes the one in ROM, so make sure you're deleting the one in RAM (for example I have "Avx Core" in RAM and ROM)
If you have problems, do a warm reset, change the 4 letter creator code (in Filez) and name (if necessary), reset, and then delete.

I had to do a hard reset to get rid of the extra AVx files.
Well, my TH has been acting up lately. It is making me reset it everytime I use NF 3.1, sometimes when I use the camera, and it's acting up with some of my media. It's not dreadful but I might have to do a hard reset. What scares me more is the mere thought of having to replace it.
