Ok after reading the thread about how much space everyone has left. I looked at my own UX and discovered that I have 4.4M system memory and virtually nothing left in program memory(.4M) in handheld. Internal not much better 2.7M left. After see the thread and how many apps some of you have what is it that I'm doing wrong? I use aliasext. I have probably 20 apps and the biggest one is MediaLauncher I'm also using Appshelf which seems to have a lot of smaller files in handheld.
Some apps have 2 asteriks next to them(**) I don't think this is good? I guess what I need to know is how do I get the most use out of what I have or utilize what I have better.
A quick question for AntoniePierre or Jamerican have either one of you been able to use KQ in Medialauncher or is there any key controls for it; I can use DA's to do vol+/- when i'm not on the media screen, but I'm wondering if there is any built in controls.
Thanks

I would strongly recommend that you just do a hard reset, put everything back on your UX and then use PowerRun to put every thing on your memory stick or internal media. I know it is a pain to do but I have done it just recently and have like 13 MB free.

Yeah, that might be my last resort; was hoping for another way though.
Thanks

Have you used Uninstaller or Cleanup. They help clean out all the crap left over from apps you don't use anymore. Try it out. :)

I have just tried Uninstall Manager (http://www.spug.net/reviews/runinstallmanager.htm) which has allowed me to delete "Clie Demo". Is that OK or have I just started on the road to completely screwing my UX50?

My advice is as well to do a hard reset (that would be best), and you are too afraid ;) you can use uninstall manager as suggested or even try with Palm Insider Pro. With this you can do two things: delete manually all the useless files (at your risk) and see what are the related files of an app (there is a special feature for that)

Harry, if you consider hard resetting. Use BackupMan to keep a current backup of your device then restore individually all the files you need from the ones you don't.

You say you're using AliasExt. Do you use it correctly, though -- i.e. to move not only the application, but also the application data?
It's been posted a few times before, but here's how:
Start the standard Clie Files file manager (or McFile). Not FileZ or Zlauncher or anything else, as they lack one vital function for making this easy to do.
Choose "Handheld" from the drop-down menu.
Choose "Application" from the top line under the menu (the bottom line if using McFile).
Select your application.
Choose "Creator Group" from the top line under the menu (the bottom line if using McFile).
Tap "Select" and "Select All"
Tap "Move"
Choose "Int. Media/Palm/Programs/AliasExt" and then tap New
Name the new folder the same as the Application, and select it.
OK, OK and then do a reset
Now, the application data pdbs also resides on the card, and will be copied to RAM with the application, and copied back to the card when you exit the app if (and only if) they have changed while running the app.

you might be right about using Aliasext correctly. I just got uninstall mngr. but can't use it due to no space. I will probably do a hard reset just have to get the time. Thanks all

Little hint:
if you sync with outlook, backup YOUR ENTIRE OUTLOOK FILE before resyncing
And better use another user name! Or, rename your current Palm Desktop user profile on the desktop, and then recreate another account with the name you had before.
