I just got my new SJ-22 yesterday and the first thing that the manual tells you to do is to charge the battery for 4 hours before even turning the clie on. But it also tells you that when you plug it in, the LED should light up. That didn't happen for me. The light flashed for a moment when I plugged the cable in, but it didn't stay on even though I knew the cable was snuggly plugged in. Has anyone else been experiencing this with their LED display? Or has everyone else's been lighting up right when they insert the power source? Thanks.

LED is the little orange light on the bottom of the application buttons, FYI. Also, when you charge your SJ22 for the first time, the screen should come up for a second or so with "CLIE" logo and the unit will turn itself off again.

If this didn't happen then something is wrong.

In my experience, the first charging is very important.

Charge more than 8~12 hour the first time will longer your battery life in a long run.

Try doing a Soft Reset after the first charge. Sometimes it is necessary to do on some devices.
