WiFi hot sync matters

With my WiFi card plugged in, I can easily sync Clie e-mail and even sync all of my Avantgo channels, but when it comes to wireless hotsync for the Palm desktop calendar and address book, there seems to be no way to do this through WiFi.

I understand disabling WiFi hotsyncing when you are not near your desktop, but eliminating the function entirely seems short-sighted for where this technology is heading. Personally, I don't find bluetooth and infrared adequate substitutes for WiFi syncing.

Is there a work-around for this blunder from Palm/Sony?

Use adhoc or infrastructure mode as appropriate.

Use LANSync or local HotSync as appropriate for Primary PC setup.
