Hi Im new to this board and new to Palm. This is my first PDA (sorry, Mobile Manager) in fact.

I cant load a single program on to the life Drive and have it work. When the program does load in it never fails to give me an error message or a reset. For example, I tried loading Palm Fiction (got a reset). Tried loading in some books into DtG and it worked for a little then I had a reset every single time I used DTg after that. Finally did a Hard reset this morning and everything is working fine again. The only 2 books that seems to work with the eReader program is The last of the Mohicans (which Ive read already  ).

Can someone lead me by the hand and tell me exactly how I should load in the book files I have, and where I should load them.

Id appreciate any help.

PS when it works, I love it!

For eReader the books should be stored on the LifeDrive/Palm/books

So you need to create a new folder called "books" and deposit your ebooks there.

For Mobipocket you need the following LifeDrive/eBooks

I now it does not help, but I have installed Docs to Go but I have not used the Hotsync option yet but it does seems to work okay with Word/Excel files synced on my LifeDrive.

Welcome to Palm, and the boards.
Hopefully, this LifeDrive doesnt send you over the edge and you give bad word-of-mouth reviews, ect. :)
When you load, you mean Hotsync the programs on, correct?

PDAJah,
Thanks for your help. I tried what you said but no go. Then I tried loading Palm fiction again as a folder. It works perfectly now. That is a fantastic program!!

I recon most of the problems I was having with my LifeDrive were caused by me basically not knowing what I was doing. Not understanding the Hot sink stuff etc. As the days have gone by things are getting better and better.

Ezikail, I guess I did sound a bit negative. Thats not really how I feel though. Im a complete virgin when it comes to PDAs so I guess my opinion shouldnt count much but for what its worth I recon this is very very useful cool machine, very happy I bought it and am getting happier the more I use it.
