Hello E2 users,
Just wondering what case you are using and what you would recommend! I have a palm case and don't like it! I like sena cases but I would like to know if there is something better or what you like? The Sena case is being worked on but is not available yet, hopefully real soon unless you have a better suggestion!! Thank You!!! Doug!!

I'm actually using the Brando book style case I used with my E. I like it because the SD card holders are on the back and do not touch the screen.

Thanks Dick, the fit is ok with the E2 also? No quirks or things that don't work ok? Doug

The E2 is slightly thicker than the E and there is enough play in this case. Book styles which attach through the flip cover slot are more forgiving this way; you do sacrifice the snug fit of a Vaja, Sena, EB slipper, etc. Cases that flip up most likely will not fit for two reasons: thickness change and different connector. If you carry your E2 in a shirt or pants pocket it may not be the one for you.

I am using the Belkin case I used for my E with my E2. it fits fine.
the case is the flip over (i.e. lid lifts upwards, not like a book cover).

the case has a slot at the top to access the power button and earphone socket. fine for both E and E2.
to access the SD card you have to life the cover, although the cover usefully has slots to keep up to 4 spare cards.

the cover has a slip fastening that covers the power/connectoy at the bottom of the unit when done up. It also did this on the E. undoing the fastener gives you access to the connector/power socket.

The palm is held in by leather covered metal "clips". one each side of the palm and a narrower one at the bottom , on the left , which does not obstruct the connectors.

As for difference in thickness of the E2/E its so small as to make no difference with this case.

Though I haven't had one for an E or E2, you might want to check out the Piel Frama cases which I've had for my m125/m130 and now my T3. They're high quality, protective. well thought out and not usually over priced unless bought from a rip-off retailer.

Here's the makers website (good pics but not best prices) :

and here's a site (sends worldwide) and usually very good prices (bought my current T3 one there) :

NB I notice that the TE/E2 Piel Frama case uses a 'snap' not a magnetic closure - as my T3 case does. Various leather pda cases have moved into fashionable 'magnetic fastenings wich are okay in some ways - but beware they can wipe car park tickets - so you get stuck in the car park (yes it happened to me once !) and so I presume credit cards could get wiped too.... Just something to consider
