Yishow problems

I have installed Yishow and love what it has done for my screen, but I canot seem to apply skins to me Grafitti area nor will Yishow pick up bmp files or all of my jpg's which are in the Yishow wallpaper folder. What gives?

I don't use YiShow anymore. Look back through the threads as I seem to remember others having the same issues.

Photoskin is one some use for VG area skins, but there are others like wondersilk. Some of it can be done manually. I guarantee there is tons of information there, you just have to hunt for it.

BTW, I use Colorize and ZLauncher myself.

I find that I love wondersilk better than the other graffiti 'skin' programs out there. I know I'll probably get a lot of flack from those who love their Photoskin, and other products.

I love Wondersilk, as it provides up to 40 assignments out there. How can one go wrong with that? I do think there are limitations with Photoskin and others.

Some have said that wondersilk seems 'slower' than others, but I don't really find that to be true. You will find there are lots of different skins out there. Some, even in ClieSource, will create background skins for zlauncher or YiShow and then create skins for photoskin or other 3rd party software for the graffiti area.

I love the way wondersilk works.... and plan on using it as long as it is available.

I got rid of YiShow ..... as It caused issues on my NZ. I went through multiple soft resets .... and thought that this was not acceptable. I also went through some soft-resets (2) with zlauncher, and with the large footprint .... I didn't see it as necessary to have loaded.

I don't know if the issues I ran into with zLauncher or YiShow had to do with installing them on top of the already running Sony Clie Launcher or not. I probably should have gone back to the regular PalmOS mode ... Before installing and running them..... who knows. I'm currently back to the regular clie-launcher and Wondersilk.

I just downloaded (from the email I got when I purchased it) the 5.3 version of YiShow. I put in on my NZ90 and it worked like a charm.

No problems whatsoever. I was able to pull up my background pictures from the memory stick just like I did w/my NR70.

I personally stopped a long time ago worrying about putting skins on the virtual grafitti area since the main reason I like yishow so much is how easy I can have full screen background images (plus I like the launcher engine).

I like the NR/NX/NZ models *because* of the 320x480 screen. So why should I not have a picture showing full screen all the time? I only open up the virtual grafitti if I need to write something down then back down it goes!
