Real...or just spraypainted T|T5 w/ LD screenshots?

Look like a fake to me...going from 400 Mhz to 300 Mhz? And palmOne would be crazy to go with that form-factor yet again...
And with the T5 1.1 running so solidly, why upgrade to this X? Bluetooth 1.2 is the only thing there (over the T5) but that could be easily remedied by a patch.
In fact, as it is, PalmOne's current lineup is pretty solid...The Zire 31, as their ultra-low-end , The E2 as their entry level (especailly if price drops a little), The T5 (V1.1) as their mid-range device, The Lifedrive as their high-end device, and Their Treo 650 as their smartphone.
If they really want to refresh their lineup...The X (as rumored) is not what's needed but:
1. An update of the Zire 72,
2. A keyboarded Wifi PDA with or without Phone,
3. A VGA PDA or,
4. A Cobalt device,
is what's needed in PalmOne lineup.
And if they want to call it XX, why not go the whole hog, and call it the Tungsten XXX.

Tis not a fake; BT 1.2 needs hardware not just a software reflash if you want it done right; and I agree on the speed not being right.
I also hold that this could have been teh dev board for the LD.

With wifi I imagine that the drop in processor speed would be to keep the battery life respectable. I agree with GadgetGuru, if PalmOne is looking to release it's next T series device - why just a slightly moded T5? I was considering an upgrade before the v1.1 T5 patch but it's just working so well now that palmone would need to show me more than this.
Cobalt would get my attention though :)

I couldn't agree more.
