I've decided to try NetFront, which for some reason wasn't installed on my CLIE originally. I downloaded a NetFront program from sonyclie.org under
the TH-55 downloads. It put an icon on the handheld, but when I touch
it, I get a "Launch Error" message that says "the application cannot
be launched because of a system error."

I downloaded an update from Sony for this, but it will not sync into
the handheld...I get this message instead: "Conditions Not Met: This
device does not satisfy the conditions to run NetFront Installer
(PEG-NX70V/NX60 System Software Update Program was not applied.)."

You might want to install the NetFront which came on your Clie CD. Cerberus has copies of all the Clie CDs.

IF you want to install NetFront 3.1, which most people agree is better than 3.0, follow the instructions in this thread.
