I was wondering if the memory stick pro duo adapter was compatible with pdas mainly the sony clie t665c because this web site says it is http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=108164 and http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=122552 (under compatible products)
,but the item description else where says its only compatible with devices requiring memory stick pro. the t665c has a regular memory stick slot just wanted to know if it was true thnx any responses or ideas needed

Tryin to get more space on my clie without buying another but will if necessary.

Unfortunately, the T665 isn't compatible with any MS Pro products, full size or Duo. Only OS 5 Clies work with Pro.

The most memory you can have is an old MS Select, which is 256 MB, but only half of it is selectable at a time, via a switch on the stick itself, which has to be removed to do so.

Hey i was wondering, if you get the adapter, would it be possible to use a memory stick duo (non-pro) on the t665c? I'm just really confused about what can and cannot be used on the older clie models (t665c specifically).

thanks a lot

Welcome aboard!
As was mentioned in the thread, OS4 Clies are ONLY compatible with original style Memory Sticks, No Pro, No Duo (adapter or no) and nothing over 128MB.

A word about the 256MB MS Select.

I had a MS Select card for two years, and while it was reliable, it is no different from having two separate 128MB cards in that you still have to remove the MS to switch banks. This cycles the card slot machinery and electrical contacts and creates the same amount of wear as if you had simply switched individual sticks.
It is simply convenient to not have to manage another discrete MS card.

If you can get another 128MB MS, it'll definitely be cheaper than finding and using a MS Selelct, and the wear on your handheld will be the same.
