Have a feeling that the NX60 and NX70V will be discontinued soon

I'm a newbie here so maybe this is old news. I did a search and didn't find any specific threads about this. The reason I have this feeling that they will be discontinued soon is because I'm a member of MySony.com which has a rewards program and I got 5000 points for nothing (I hardly ever visit the site and I never buy products through the site or through sonystyle.com). Anyway, I can get a PEGNX60 for $425 + 1500 points ($75 less than SonyStyle.com's price) or a PEGNX70V for $500 plus 2250 points ($100 less than SonyStyle.com's price). Those are the only 2 Clie's they offer so I'm guessing that they are probably discontinuing them soon since they are discounting them for points that I did nothing to earn. In addition, people are mentioning the new NX73 and NX80 coming soon so they'll probably replace the NX60 and NX70V but that's just pure speculation on my part.

actually, they've had that promo for a long time already. But I'm sure that something new will come out soon enough.

I doubt that the nx70 and nx60 will be discontinued anytime soon, considering it has the pa250 xscale processor. The nx73 and nx80 from my understanding is only a rumor.

I think NX60 will be discontinued soon, local CompUSA is already selling them at 350.

A new NX model will come soon! It is probably equipped with one of the latest (and recommended) Intel Xscale processors: PXA255, PXA260 or PXA263. PIC has more info about the processors: http://palminfocenter.com/view_story.asp?ID=5140

I wish the new NX will get rid of the hump, the CF slot ! A built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is just fine.

Best buy's internal system is officially listing the NX60 as on clearence, while not the NX70V.

Infact, the only "current" Clies for Best Buy are the NZ90, NX70V, TG50, Sj33, and SJ22. Everything else is on clearence, and the price reflects as such.

At my store, we are tryng to get rid of several older Clies, including a N610, couple of T615s, and a S360(!!!!). I don't know how we missed those. Some of them are almost 2 years old! LOL

Seems to me that having the pxa250 processor is another reason that the NX's would be discontinued. This series of Clie models have typically had a 6-month production life span, and they came out in October, so that will make them 6-months old in April. I won't be suprised to see some new models.
