View Full Version : Lifedrive comes with Pocket DVD lite?

This review says that PalmOne has included a companion CD that include Pocket DVD lite.

"And speaking of movies, mine now has copies of several DVDs from my collection. Palm offers a companion CD with a copy of Pocket-DVD Studio Lite from PQDVD.com. This software makes it possible to convert a commercial DVD into an AVI file that can then be copied to the LifeDrive."

But my Companion CD doesn't seem to include that app, Does the US version include one? Mine is an International English version... Or does PalmOne has an updated CD?!

I got it, but the code to code to register it doesn't work... I'll have to look at the documentation of the companion CD.

My Part # on the CD is 400-10173-00.

What's your's?

My CD labels LifeDrive Mobile Entertainment CD, but came with the ML LD and since the CD is also labeled in french, my guess is that it's specific to Canada :confused:

Mine include two Cd..One for Windows and one for Mac. But is simply labeled.."Software Installation CD for Windows...Includes additional software and documentation"

P/N: 340-10231-00 is printed on the back....

Seems, mine doesn't include it. Wonder if the US version has. Or if a later version include it. The pains of being an early adopter...

Hopefully, PalmOne will offer it as a web download, and offer a free key if you submit your Lifedrive Serial number or some other proof of purchase....

It is not the same as the LifeDrive software installation CD included with all LifeDrive mobile managers. The LifeDrive Mobile Entertainment CD is not available for separate purchase, but you can download its third-party software independently through the software connection."

Make me wish I wasn't an early adopter and had waited a while... Besides Pocket DVD, what's in that CD?

Or what's PalmOne URL detailing it? I can't find it...thanks....

I didn't get this CD in my US package. PalmOne's web site seems to indicate that this CD is unique to Canada:

It would be nice if they could make it available to all LifeDrive customers.

Pocket DVD studio lite, but I cant register it with the provided code... (!)

So apart from pTunes dl, they're all lite versions, and believe me, they're lite :)

ok, so now P1 are supplying bundled software that is expressly for ripping dvd's...the laws pertaining to this issue are complex at best...hard to believe they are going out on such a long and spindly limb....

Probably why no one in the US is seeing it. Not so gray area-ish here.
