errr...i bought the keyboard for the NR for my NX. i thought since all the connectors were the same it would work on my NX...nope...it fits the NX..it attempts to hotsync when the keyboard is inserted which the manual says is normal for the NR however the keyboard keys themselves do not work...is there an update i can DL so it works or do i have to return the keyboard?

No updated drivers at this time for a keyboard with the NX. Either you wait or you return the keyboard.

For now, return the keyboard. No drivers have bubbled up yet to make it work.

The KB11 will not work (unmodified) with the NX devices.
It's not "just a Driver thing". Sony changed the Serial line for the current NX devices. Their device connection spec was updated after they were notified of the problem with the KB11 and the NX. You can either open up the KB and put a pull-up resister on the data line (voiding any warranty) or return it and wait.
Fellowes (www.Fellowes.com) showed a Stowaway and StowawayXT keyboard at CES (in Vegas). Both KBs work with the NX (and other T-Series connector PDAs).

I looked around the Fellowes site and I couldn't find anything about the KB11. Does this mean they're coming out with one? Your post adds more to my confusion. Do they describe or show a fix? I am not so much asking for myself, but for others. Will an updated driver still be needed in addition to the fix?

Fellowes will not be selling a "KB11". Sony sells the "KB11". The KB11 is Sony's rebranding of Think Outside's Stowaway keyboard.
Fellowes will be selling their version of the Stowaway (and StowawayXT). I do not believe they mentioned any timeframe at CES, but I would think there is a pent up demand they would like to fill <grin>.
The Fellowes versions of the Stowaway KBs (both the Stowaway and Stwy-XT) _will_ work with the NX (and other existing T-Series Clies).

ouch! I was told that the problem with the kb-11 was os5. So, what about adding this resistor? How hard is it?

I would appreciate any additional info on the adding of a pull-up to the offending data line. Screw the warranty, I want the keyboard to work! So, which data line, and is it a standard 1K or 220 ohm or what? Please?
I downloaded the NX connector specs from leggnet.com. I need the keyboard connector specs. Any help there?
