Hello, I need a free screen capture utility. I dont want that one that requires DA launcher or McPhilling, just a free standalone basic screen capture utility. Thanx

Do you use any system hacks? EasyLaunch is free and serves as a DA Launcher.

I don't think you're going to find a standalone utility for free.

I like my homepage the way it is, and I like the built in launcher and everything. I am surprised that there isnt a stand alone free one. There is a stand alone free one for pocket pc

X-Master is free. EasyLaunch (not technically a launcher) is free. HRCaptDA is free.

Which OS are you using? If it's 4.x, it can't hurt to try it.

EasyLaunch lets you assign multiple apps to various buttons / stylus swipes. It also serves as a DA Launcher.

HRCaptDA, which I mentioned in the other thread, is the screen capture utility.

I use Xmast with DA Launcher and HRCapt - works great. Has an option to save screen caputer to memory stick.......great program.

Or Power DA if you're on OS5 :P

X-Master, EasyLaunch, HRCaptDA are the best freeware screen capture setup. I just flick my finger over the graffiti area and capture the screenshot and save the bmp image in MS (Palm/Programs/HRCapt). That is really cool setup.

there is a free stand alone one, it's called snapshot and i believe you can find it on either palmgear or freewarepalm.com

Can also launch with ZLauncher, if you use it. McPhling, however, does allow you to assign it to a hardware button.

Set up a special button press or stylus swipe in EasyLaunch. (I use a long hold of the memo button.) Then select "HRCaptDA" following the "Apps/DAs" checkbox.

Chanbingo, LaunchPlug (http://www.launchplug.com/HRCaptDA.html) has really good tutorial on HRCaptDA.

I use EasyLaunch Stylus from the Graffiti top/right to Display right.  This way I can also launch it with a finger swipe.  All of the EasyLaunch stylus strokes can actually be done with a finger swipe.  The stroke is easy to remember since it has something to do with screen.

Well, I've found it. It's easy with EasyLaunch. I can simply map the HRCapt to the DateBook Button with HOLD and I mapped the HRCaptDM to LONG HOLD of the same button to see the captured image.

Now it's a snap, extending the delay you can achive menu or game capture too.

Fabulous!

McPhling will take over the original functionary of that button though. Power DA will launch what ever that button used to launch before it was assigned to Power DA if you press the button a second time.

Also, McPhling isn't so great as a DA launcher since there is a limit to how many DA's you can display, and they get mixed in with other applications. It is great for app switching though.

On my NX70V, I have McPhling configured to activate when I press the Camera Capture button, and have HRCaptDA set as one of the entries. HRCaptDA is an EXCELLENT program to capture the entire screen including the Virtual Graffiti area (if displayed) and to capture the Status bar. It's what I used for all the screenshots of my WonderSilk skins I created at [url=http://wondersilkskins.com]WonderSilkSkins.com[url].

He was looking for a free solution. Power DA isn't free is it. Actually with McPhling and SelectDA you can launch a virtually unlimited number of DAs. Just requires one extra tap.:) I know, McPhling and ZLauncher aren't free either, but they are apps he may already have.
