How I fixed "Serial Port already in Use"

This one is embarassing, but I feel compelled to share it.

You can't have a memory stick in. ;) The MS in my Clie was using the COM port - As soon as I popped it out, everything worked like a charm. Go figure. :)

I sync at work with a serial connection and I've never had to take out my memory stick. What are you trying to do that's giving you the 'serial connection in use' message?

Some people have this issue when syncing with USB - That's how I fixed it, and perhaps it will help someone else.
