Just got a T665C and love it. However, when setting up RMC there is no choice for my Denon 3802 AV Amp! It has Onkyo etc but no Denon. Do you pick another Manufacturer of is there another AMP.prc file out there?

With Clie RMC, you get what Sony built into it. There is no way to add stuff to it. A newer Clie might have additional devices, but the enhanced IR seems to have died with the T665C.

Tanker, I was told that the SJ33 had an enhanced Remote as well. I also thought the bigger NR and NX's had the remote software as well. If I am not mistaken, the TG has a remote as well. Someone, please, correct me if I am wrong.

Based on all that, what is the best Remote Software in everyone's opinion?

Riversen, I have a SJ33.  It does not have "Enhanced IR".  It does have ordinary infrared for beaming.  From other posts at ClieSource it seems that programs like OmniRemote will work, but at such short distances as to be unpracticle.

I sit corrected. According to Sony's website, the TG50 does have enhanced IR. Now we just have to find somebody with one and have them email us the updated files.

Do a search here for RMC Enhancer- there is a Yahoo group where you can download the program and some databases that supposedly have expanded Amp/DVD/TV definitions so RMC will work with a wider variety of electronics. I haven't personally tried the software, so don't know if works or not- I'm pretty much all Sony right now so RMC works fine for me.:)

Found the Yahoo! group, thanks! They have a program for adding definitions, but not many new definitions. They do have a collection of standard Sony definitions, though.

Are you saying that the enhanced remote comes from the software and not the hardware? If that is so, can they enhance the remote more than the basic Sony remote?

The enhanced IR is hardware, the expanded device-control support is done in software.
