Problem

Ok, so a while ago I broke my screen. And, I just took out my clie from the drawer it was in, and I guess something was pressing on the on button or something because the battery is dead. So, I put it on the charging cradle and it's charging. The Problem is that the first creen with the whole, "use the stylus to tap the center of the target" screen is there and I can't bypass it to hotsync my palm! And, I can't get anywhere else. How do I get passed this screen when I can only tap on half the screen? I need to hotsync my palm so I can sent it back in to be fixed!

It sounds like your digitizer is dead. I guess you have no option but to replace it or buy a new CLIE.

I agree, there is no way to the best of my knowledge to get around that issue.

did you try the "magic" fix for resetting digitizer? try pressing and holding the scroll-up button and three other hardware buttons (can't be the "back" button though) for about 25 seconds. btw when it's a situation like you're discribing, the system timer can be a little off as well, so it might take i little longer.
