You can also use GSM Dialer:
http://www.e-furt.de

with this nice application, you can also manage conference calls with your clie ;)

As soon as Verizon comes out with a BT phone, I'll be all over this. I;d like to get a BT handsfree set and I'm hoping that I'll be able to dial numbers from my Clie and talk on the headset, without having to touch my phone. Will this work?

This is precisly what I try to do since ages.
This GSM Call is not able to call using the paired devices.
It need to "discover" device. This is quite unplaisant.
What I want to do is the same as the internet via my Clie : don't care about where is my phone, it will found it and connect trough it as far as it knows it as a paired device.

If I got the bluetooth headset, I would like not to look for my cell phone, make it discoverable (quite unplaisant) and then request a call from my Clié.

Are you following me ?
Seems GSM Dial unable to do that. The same for TapDial.
Still looking.

It's possible. Here is my setup: N760C with OS 4.1 and a BT MS, with the BT drivers installed from the CD that came with the BT Memory Stick. Downloaded QuickDial 2.01 from www.tipware.de. Also grabbed a driver for my BT phone (Sony T68i) from the ATT Wireless website. Also available from Sony site.

After installing Quickdial, I am able to open my addressbook, select 'Dial' (CMD-I) from the menu (this function was added during the install of QuickDial)

My Clie sends the dial command to my BT phone. I then click the 'answer' buttom on my BT headset (Jabra Freespeak), and I am connected. My phone never gets touched and just hangs on my belt. Works like a charm. I am also using this setup through GPRS to check my email and browse web pages on my Clie.

get a tungstenT :p

but seriously, has anyone tried installing the phone link app from the tungstenT? or are the BT drivers different?

the new address book lets you email/sms/dial directly from a listing via BT

And when I installed this paclkage I get the Phone section in Settings of my NR that I was not able to get before, even after installing the phone drivers.

Not with the OS4 Bluetooth drivers.
