Hi,

Does anybody know of an application that can get around the 681 Telephone record limit with the Palm OS software? I reciently reached my limit. I cut some fat, but will be easily filling that space in the next month.

Thanks!

By commenting on this again, I'm hoping additional people will be able to see this that didn't see this before because I got no responses.

There has to be additional people that work in the field, in the same boat as me.

After listing,
some general needed Corp numbers,
marketing group numbers,
engineering group numbers,
supplier contacts,
frequently visited/called restaurants,
repeat all above for Taiwan region,
repeat all above for China region,
Personal local friends,
Personal local business contacts,
repeat above for CT (family)

and now I'm full. I've started to add additional contacts in the China region, a new region I'm covering, but I'm almost tapped out.

There surely has to be other international/domestic frequent business travelers out there that require huge contact lists like myself.

Is there any application that gets around the 681 Telephone record limit on the Palm OS?

Hmmmm. I'd never heard of a limit at all.

Maybe it would be more efficient for you to have an excel spreadsheet you can view/edit for everything but your local office. You could easily keep that updated/sync'd and you wouldn't hit any limit. Your assistant could keep it updated and you could sync any changes you make. (If you don't have an assistant/secretary, it sounds like you should get one!)

Maybe separate 'info' sheets for China, Taiwan, etc.

Or maybe there is a contact app that does not use the built in database (I don't know, but might be worth a check). That would probably remove any limitations. (Like many programs have 'worked around' the 16 category limit...)

Hope this helps some.
