Hi-

I'm trying to setup my bluetooth connection to hotsync with my pc. I've setup the com port (8, in my case), created a bluetooth connection as well as checked the serial option on hotsync. The connection still times out.

When I check bluetooth neighborhood on the pc, I can see my NZ90 but the only service under it is 'inbox'. How do I get the other services (e.g. serial adapter, modem, etc.) for the nz90?

On the belkin one, right click on the Bluetooth logo in the system tray, select services > Bluetooth Serial Port > Find Devices and once it find the device establish a partnership between the PC and the clie.

Other drivers might have different setup...

I have the above problem w NZ90. Can't Hotsync.

"Find Devices" found the PDA but Service Bluetooth Serial Port is not found on my device. Stops there.

I have setup Bluetooth and trusted devices for computer on PDA. Setup Hotsync connection to PC w Bluetooth. Com ports for local Bluetooth and Hotsync are the same. Devices in range in the Belkin Bluetooth program has my PDA w a check mark.

Studied Reggie's notes in the Wireless area. Searched threads. Read manuals.

This is more of a Wireless forum concern but this post starts out like my post should begin.

Newbie status exposed I'm sure.

Same problem. I've tried three different bluetooth adapters (Belkin, 3COM, AmbiCom) and can't get ANY of them to find a service besides OBEX push. I have two other bluetooth devices (t68i and tungsten) and I can setup a serial connection with both of those. It seems like my CLIE (TG50) just doesn't support it... what's my problem? "Anyone...? Anyone...?"

No problem! For inbound Bluetooth connections to your Sony, all that the sender can do is push OBEX (vCal, vCard etc.) to it. If you run an app like BtServer (http://www.petereaston.com/downloads/btserver/source.php) you can see the serial port appear on your device.

Remember, your Palm is often the one making the outbound connection!

Peter

I actually solved my problem by removing the Nokia PC Suite which I used to bluetooth sync my Nokia 3650 with my desktop. It had a conflict with the hotsync bluetooth functionality. After I removed that software, my bluetooth hotsync worked flawlessly.

I tried the same, it did not help. Basically therer is only the OBEX Service and my Clie NZ90 does not connect to any Bluetooth device (6310i), Laptop. Sony hotline has no clue as well.

I also installed BTServer, but no serial profile was offered.
