I don't know the maximum expansion card size, but I've successfully used 1-GB SD cards.

I remember reading on the PalmOne website that previous OS 5.x devices could only read up to 2GB, however I don't know if this is true anymore since the TE2 and LifeDrive share the same OS and the LifeDrive can read 4GB.
I would recommend writing to PalmOne customer support.

Max VFS for ALL OS5 PDAs is 2GB, EXCEPT (maybe) the LifeDrive.
Really, the 2GB is a file-system limit. If Palm weren't so terminally myopic they'd have put FAT32 support into PalmOS when they made OS5 and we wouldn't have this problem now.
As it stands, there is a FAT32 driver floating about which was lifted from a LifeDrive, and this has allowed Clie users to use 4GB MemorySticks, although we've only had one piece of feed-back to that effect so far really, and we loose Audio DSP support on FAT32-formatted sticks.
I haven't read much about other users (i.e. Zodiac and non-LD Palm users) on how well the FAT32 driver works on theirs 'tho...

I have E2 for 3 weeks now and using SanDisk's Utlra II 1.0 GB out of that 350 MB is full. There has been no problem on my E2.

this is a good point, does the te2 support fat32 or fat16?? Anyone??
ps I believe that fat16 will only address <2Gb. AFAIK, p1 stqtes somewhere that 1.5Gb will work but not 2Gb....just a thought!!
