I have had my Clie PEG-TH55 for approximately one month and must say that I have enjoyed same. I actually did not expect to own another CLIE as the are no longer being produced, but after after my NX70 screen died (Dropped accidentally) I found a TH55 on Amazon.com. The device is wonderful, especially the built in WiFi which allows web-browsing and wireless syncing with my laptop.
One complaint I do have are the buttons for Hold/Power and Voice Recorder. Both their layout, shape and use leave a lot to be desired. The power button is less of an issue, as I will generally turn on by booting up my calendar via the designated face button, but the voice recorder button is clumsy and leaves a lot to be desired.
The only real issue I have with this unit is it is significantly slower than both of my previous CLIE's. Was wondering if this may be an issue with the used TH55 I purchased or if this is a noted issue with all TH55's? Would love some input as to this matter.

The slower speed is not due to it being a used model. It's simply because the TH55's processor is slower than your previous models. The NX70 has a 200 MHz processor, and I'm assuming your other Clies had the same type of processor. The TH55 has a 126 MHz processor, so speeds are significantly slower for some applications, although I don't mind knowing that my battery will never run down until the end of the day.
I think slower processor speed and longer battery life is a perfectly fine trade off. Though many people want fast speed (600+MHz)and long battery life (along the lines of TH55 battery life or longer), which will never happen within, oh, i'd say the next 5 years.

Well, you could do a junglemike and mod one of these Mega MHz Monsters to have TH55-level battery life, but you'd probably end up having to carry a truck battery on your back :D

For extra points you can hunt down the 'underclocking for a 71 hour mp3 playback marathon and 20% cell capacity remaining' thread. :D

This is also one of my complaints. As an industrial designer, the only defense I can think of for the TH55 designers is that perhaps in voice recorder mode, the TH was meant to be used upside down, which would place the mic closest to ones mouth and the voice record button underneath the user's thumb. That's the only explanation that makes sense.
The power slider is way to hard to use and should have been placed on the right-hand side of the unit where there are no buttons.
The four dedicated buttons on the bottom of the unit are too easy to turn on. Consequently, I use the HOLD setting on the power slider all the time.
TheGoGo works for some of the button issues, but it's not perfect...
