I understand that the BT range is about 10m.
But can we actually hotsync a TG50 with a bluetooth-enabled PC sitting in another closed room (but still within 10m range)?
If we can, will it significantly reduce the connection speed/quality?
What about WiFi?

Bluetooth and WiFi work through walls (maybe not lead/concrete/steel though).

what about the belkin BT adapter that claims 100m range of bluetooth?

That's class 1, clie is class 3. Hence the class 3 device is the limiting factor.

But if Belkin can transmit as far as 100m, doesn't that mean the Clie should still be able to pick it up within that 100m signal range?

The problem would be in the fact that it is a 2-way connection. If the Clie can't transmit back to the access point, the connection can't be setup.

I've found that 10 meter promise to be over-optimistic. The max range I get, in a straight line with no walls, is about 15 feet. This is with a TG50 and a Belkin dongle.
If you are curious, I just put together an article on my experiences with wireless networking via Bluetooth:

Oh... I thought the 100m range specification includes both send/receive. I didn't expect that to be one way.

The 100m *is* send and receive, but only helps if the other side has a comparable range.
Think of it this way. You're trying to carry on a conversation with someone 100 yards away. He can yell very loud, and you can hear him just fine. However, you can't yell at all, just talk loudly, he can't hear you.
You can't carry on much of a conversation if the information only flows one way (no cheating by waving your arms!)
Can he carry on a conversation at a range of 100 yards? Yes, if the person he's talking to can too.

But can we still send/receive if we are doing it from a place within 10m range, BUT will have several walls blocking its way?
