K, I did it...couldn't hold out any longer. Purchased the LifeDrive at OfficeDepot on Friday with a $100 mail in rebate bringing it down to $399 + tax. About the same that I paid for my beloved TT when it was new many years ago. Although I've only been able to play with it for about 3 hours I don't think I'll be bringing it back, lots of features that I really enjoy.

Anyone have any recommendations on headphones? I have a cheap pair of Sony ones but there seems to be quite a bit of background noise, I hope it's the headphones that are causing it.

Shure E2 or E3. I got my E3c for $100 even at an Apple store in the corner with all the used stuff. Etyomic, I'm not sure how to spell it, makes the ER4 and ER6 that are quite good. You can read various reviews but I think it boils down to comfort and and price. The E2c have been as low as $55 so all in all their not neccessarily cheap but they are all really good earphones worth the price, not MSRP, but street price.

I just bought a pair of $20 ear buds, and they work fine. Not sure of the brand, I got them from the iPod display at Target.

I second recommending the Shure E3c. They cost me $120 on sale at Amazon.com, but they are well worth it. Very accurate sound compared to most headphones, which are too "boomy".

Hi......

Where did you get the $100 rebate? The Sunday ad here shows the LifeDrive, but nothing about a rebate.

Thanks...
Will
