View Full Version : How beam gif file to th55 ?

Hello All

when trying to beam gif file I get message format not
recognized.
Same with 3gp file.

Anybody knows how to transfer such files to th55 via
infrared ?

I think if you have Resco viewer you can beam gif images.

.gif isn't a native file format to PalmOS handhelds, so one way would be to change the file extension to .pdb or even.jpg using a file manager, although this will only allow for beaming and storage on the handheld.
To view it, move it to a memory card, and change the file extension back.

Hopefully your viewer supports memory cards.

It's the long way around, but it'll get there.

Unfortunately I beam from cell phone to TH55 and
there is no way to change file extension.

You one way or another need to assign that file extension a viewer on the Clie -- you can either install an image viewer that supports GIF such as RescoViewer -- if this doesnt work, you can install a more flexible solution : Getdeblu - which basically says "any file not recognzied by PalmOS dump to the card." -- it's quite useful.
