How happy are you with translation?

Well, it's the last month of the VZ90 production and the units are getting harder to obtain even in Japan.(From a JP source)

I'm thinking of obtaining a unit to go with my S300 and NX80; however, I really would like to hear from VZ users that have CliePet's translation PRC's loaded as to how easy it is to use the VZ-90.

Anyone able to give me a comfort level? Lot's of $ if I can't use it!
(Photos would help also.)

Background: Palm device user of 5 years.
I do a lot of video and have a VK100 to off tape TV to view at my convenience. Have ZLauncher, PTunes, FileZ, JackFlash, PowerRun, Lightspeed, DocsToGo 7, BeyondContacts, SmartList, ..will any of this software run on the VZ? I also use WiFi, Bluetooth (MSB-1 in NX 80), CC-5 carcradle

How do you access the flash memory?

I shared the same worries with you before I made a purchase.

Since Sony announced the halt on clie in Feb, price of VZ wnet up, I got one in April and ended up paying yen15,000 more after the announcement.

I did not use the translated software but still manage to use all application. Though I am not Japanese, can still read the RHS shortcut menu which is exactly as the same as Eng one.

Also,by recognising the postion of the button e.g. Cliefiles, you can operate as the Eng one. BTW, there is an Eng version available.

All prc works fine as in Eng clie, e.g. isilo, bonsai, filez, zlauncher, db5, handbase..they display in Eng menu

Some programmes may initially display as 320x 320 (e.g. isilo, Bible+), but after using the Mobifish screensaver, the display seemed to have stretched magically, now all display 320 x 480. VZ screen is just incomparable!!

Appears the device is usable (80% ?) for daily routine without Japanese language frustration getting too much in the way.

You can replace most of the softwares in english and Clie Pet indeed did a great job on translation.
For the rest, it should be tricky in the beginning, bu tyou'll get used to it ;)
