Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with the Mobipocket reader and the T5?

It seems that whenever I have been using the Mobipocket reader, the next, or next program thereafter will cause a reset.

Or, if i use Mobipocket and copy a text into an editor (notepad, doctogo, whatever), the mobipocket will crash after between 1 and 3 operations, always.

Now, i like mobipocket beacuse it has the ability to find books in a specific ebooks directory... which Ereader cannot... therefore I would like to continu using it, but... I do not like crashes and resets...

Anyone have any good advice to share?

regards,
anders H.

pseudofilosofen,
This will be of no consolation but I too have been a 'liker' of Mobipocket but that like for this software has diminished. I have found that the developer is not good at fixing bugs or customer support : I ran this on an m130 for ages having bought an as yet unsurpassed & much valued Oxford dictionary in Mobipocket format. I bought that in Jan' 03. Ever since then the reader has continued to have bugs such as forgetting which dictionary you are searching (I have another dictionary in this format) in & so bringing up results from the wrong database. This I found to be a persistant error. because of a lack of memory space I wasn't able to update the app until I got a T3 in Feb this year. When I did, imagine my amazement that the latest version is not yet bug free for the T3 - despite the T3 acually having been on the market 16 months ! When you have the T3 in sleep mode, with Mobipocket the last app used and the T3 is 'stretched' to full length it crashes upon the pressing of the select button to get the 'pop-up clock' feature and it does this every time. I think there are others but I've learnt to avoid them.

I emailed Mobipocket with a detailed 'bug report' using there 'support' pages via their convoluted 'read these pages for info before you mail us system - and that was months ago now. However I've had absolutely no response other than a number confirming the receipt of my email report at time of submission.

Mobipocket will be getting no more of my money for future products/ebooks and as soon as I can find a similarly detailed Oxford dictionary with a decent reader I'll move to that.

Sorry that's not much help but that company are not IMHO serving their customers as they should... :(

Thank you for your post. Not very optimistic this one. I was really hoping for Mobipocket, as I cannot stand not being able to desice for myself where my ebooks resides on mye Palm or card...

I use MobiReader on my T5 without any problems. Also, I just recently downloaded and installed the new version 5.0 beta and it seems to be working well.
