a few questions

I have a few questions about my tg...

1. can i disable/remap the voice record button

2. what is the sound utililty used for. it seems like it is just a random program to play pleasant sounding sounds.

3. what is silkscreen and is it/ is it not on the tg

4. i cant use most of my programs right off the memory stick. is there a program that allows this?

any response would be helpful

1. No, not from what I've seen. That is something you can do in the NX series.

2. Sound Utility allows you to preview and modify your System Alarm sound list. It's a cool program, because a WAV you convert might not sound so good on the Clie. On the Clie you can use the Sound Utility to delte the sound.

3. A silkscreen from what I understand is a static area of a screen that allows for input. Think of the old Graffiti area. As for it on the TG50, I don't think so.

4. It truly depends on the program. Some launchers like ZLauncher can help you out but I've heard that PowerRun will allow you to run most programs from Memory Stick.

The built in launcher will let you run apps off of the memory stick. Just copy them to Palm/launcher/ on the memory stick.

3. Re silk-screen area-- there's a small round button on the far right, at the top of the keyboard, next to the 4 core app longish buttons. A quick tap opens a graffiti area, divided, for letters on the left and numbers on the right. Perfect for doing quick shortcut maneuvers, even for those of us who are brand spanking new to Graffiti, but not Palm.
