A few questions to get me started:

Do you know of another forum that handled PSLink which might suffice for docs.? If you implemented PSLink, could you share with us about specifying the link character in the PSLink control of Preferences on Palm OS 5? How do you actuate the link in, for instance, DateBook?

PSLink gets billed as a hypertext linker to build relationships between memopad, todo list and datebook and more. However, the documentation I found lacking, and the Interface has the obscure commands of a typical text-oriented program.

There is a useful post by Pete Hartman in the Yahoo GtD_Palm discussion group.

Here is a copy of that post:

Here's how to get it working. None of this is especially obvious, even given the English language manual on the website.

1) obviously, load the PRC. If you use DA's load the pslinkda as well.
2) it creates a preferences section in the main preferences app. Go there, set the main value to "on" to get it to be active. If you want "single click" rather than "double click" behavior, select "Action with single tap". If you're using a replacement app for one of the standard apps, change the application value for that application (e.g. Date: DateBk5).
3) the tags that will be used are on the right under - Tag -. To start with you may want to use the defaults, but they can be changed. People talking about using <> and {} for tags have changed the respective ones theyr'e talking about on this screen, instead of using defaults like []a and []t
4) later after you're more comfortable with it, under "More" there are 5 custom apps you can also link, either to the application or to a database. A database link displays the first record of the database.
Be warned this may not work with every application (I haven't figured out how to get it to work with Life Balance for example).
5) Go to a memo, create one named "test" that has some content.
6) create another memo named anything else, and create a link in it with [test].
7) click/double click the link, and it should take you to the "test" memo.

Hope this helps.

Note that PsLink is like a search tool. It will link to the first word wich has the letters you have written.
Example : [test] could send you to Mr testaton, (just an example). If you want a link to Mr test, you have to write [testspace].

If you have 2 Mr test, you have to write : [testspacehisfirstname], usually, the first letter of his first name is enough.

If you create a link to a todo/memo/adress which doesn't exist, PsLink will create this todo/memo/adress when you'll click on the link.

To create a link to a special day, write DD/MM/YY. The 0 are optionnal. No need of special tags.
