Hi guys,

I recently purchased and received a black/black snap closure Sena case that I really fell in love with immediately. I don't hate it, but an wondering about the quality of this thing currently.

The edges of my case were painted in a glossy black "paint". This "paint" has started to wear and peel off (after only 2 weeks of use!).

Are there any suggestions on what you guys used to fix/replace the paint? Or did you simply not have this problem and maybe I should send it back to Sena??

thanks...

Mine just started doint that too :( I think it's only because it's leather..all leather cases like for cell phon es seem to do that too :(

My Sena has done that. Neither my Vaja, which gets a decent amount of use, and my Bellagio, which I don't use much any more, have had the edges wear like the Sena's.

One thing to do with the Sena case -- great tip originally posted by someone else -- is to put tape across the magnets at the bottom inside the case. The covering there will wear off and the magnets will scratch the Clie otherwise.

Magnets in the case??? Is that another model because the my case doesn't have magnets.

No magnets in the snap closure, sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.

Tandy leather offers a dark colored 'edge treatment' to finish off leather projects. You can get some (www.tandyleather.com?) to try. What I do to those edges is to just touch them up with a black permanent marker or paint pen, depending on what I have handy.

You can also write Sena and ask them if they'll replace it for you!

Kinda sucks to spend so much money and start to have it peel, yikes.

I've had my Vaja case for several weeks now...and this case spends a bit of time in my cluttered tote bag. The case is still in wonderful shape--no discoloration, fading, etc.

I agree with the previous post. The Sena case goes for approximately $40. With that price, I would not expect to have any problems.

Good luck trying to get Sena to replace your case. I returned my Sena case according to their return policy and within the timeframe indicated, and have yet to receive a credit on my credit card or a response to my two follow-up emails.

I've had mine for 4 months now and it's been in lots of use at school and it just started peeling like a week ago.
