Just Curious..

If someone were able to get their hands onto an extra NX battery, How difficult would it be to replace the older one. Is the battery right on top after you take the shell off or do you have to dig for it?

Check the posts on "Has anyone taken their Clie NX apart" ....there is one guy who posted detailed pictures and labels as to what is what inside the clie....

No it's right on top! You can pull the battery out from the little door on the side, but you won't be able to plug the connector back in. It's much easier to carefully remove the back shell and access it that way. The size of the battery isn't all that big, so it's amazing the power it can supply.

In the manual it only tells how to remove the battery, not how to replace it. I can't imagine throwing away the Clie for now :). While it might be possible to replace the battery from the side cover, it's a whole lot easier if the back shell is removed. It's only recommended for those who are technically astute in handling electronics.
