Umm, has anyone else had these problems?

The rocker works like normal, but very loose and wiggles from gravity.

The app buttons have a somewhat hard time being held down? Seems like the connection inside isn't too good.

The keys on the bottom row are near flush to the unit?

The flip cover having a lot of wiggle?

My TG50 didn't have these problems when I bought it. Is it going to continue to fall apart?

I would take the unit back for exchange. You just got it! It's already fallin' apart and you're NOT happy. You spent good money and you should have a good unit. I would get another unit in a heartbeat.

Definitely exchange it. I've had mine a week, and I'm pounding on it without the problems you've experienced.

Try to compare it to the demo unit at the store (if it's not abused).

I've have the problems of a lose flip cover, and with some of the keyboard buttons but I made a decision. I like my TG50 a lot, but I've considered the NX73 depending on what modifications are made to it like adding Bluetooth, being compatible with the KB11 folding keyboard and a few others. Only time will tell.

Your rocker buttons aren't a bit wiggly AT ALL???

And to exchange it I have to send it to sony, and I do not want to wait half a year to use my PDA.

And I have had mine for 2 weeks so I wouldn't say that I haven't been using it.

Wait, so you didn't return yours?

Alas, I think the bad app buttons were in my mind. And the flip cover only wiggles about 5mm when shaking my TG, so I guess that couldn't be considered broken.

So my only true problems are the keyboard and rocker, which function BETTER than when I first bought the unit. I am only scared that they will break in a couple of months.

Nope. The problems are minor, and it would seem anal to exchange it. They are minor nuiscances, nothing more.

Had it for over 2 weeks now. Using it for over 2 hours each day, mostly reading and looking at pictures. Love it!

I have to agree with you that the unit is not as solid as it looks.
I used to like to put it in my jean's back pocket (like I did with my 710c). I think it is the thiness of the tg50, which does not give it a very strong structure. The cover tend to deform too, since I sit on it too much. The lower part of unit starts to give, while the top part (screen) is still stiff. If I get a new one; it won't be in my back pocket.

The keys and the rockers are not as stiff as I expected. I found it very usable. I don't have large fingers; so the keys are fine with me. I now added the Jot program; I am feeling at home with Grafiti once again! The free "Graffiti Anywhere" did not cut it for me.

Holding the unit with strap helps a lot. Loop it around your fingers to give it some tension and you will know what I mean.

I'm using Pledge to protect the whole unit including the screen. The dust don't stick, and finger prints are easy to get rid of (just don't spray it directly on to the screen and the key board). I don't use screen protector because I like maximum clarity when looking at pictures.

Uh, you might want to stop putting the TG in your back pocket-sitting on a pda isnt pretty.

Why use pledge? I would think that this would make the unit too slippery.

mine has none of those problems, but i suspect that the only difference between yours and mine is our "sensitivity" level. i've also been know to overlook a dead pixel and a fleck of dust now and again!

Pledge gives it that "fresh" scent and removes the stickiness after viewing porn movies on the TG50...

I do have this problem. The rockers do move around quitea abit, but the keyboard and the side buttons and the buttons next to the rocker are fine.

Yeah this plagues a lot of TG's, but these things haven't really changed at all since the first week I've owned the device.

It is still exactly how it was after a week of owning the device.

I guess they are a minor nuisance, its just that, you pay a lot of money, and you expect at least the craftsmanship to be good you know? Another flaw i've found on my TG is the plastic cover where the CHR, BT, REC lights and mic are doesn't seamlessly connect. Theres a small, I dunno, hole I guess where they don't fasten together which is ugly.
