Memory just disappearing from my 650!

I went from 8mb down to 4mb (I may have added a program or 2, but nothing even close to 4mb) to 1.5mb which I did not add a single program over that time. I can't even see what is different in the ZL file manager. What is going on? I can't even open up my databased because I have so little room left. :(

treo 650 is using a non volitile flash memory... meaning even if you add up a small software it blows up and becomes bigger, simply reason is, its being saved somewhere else so that if you loose power your data will not be deleted. its being backed up in the hand held...
