My NX, in tablet mode, starts acting strange. The screen is non-responsive, and will scroll on its own or the drop down menus (like in the PREFS app) will flicker between selections.
Only by pushing on the pda's side can I get it to work. Incidentally, this problem does not happen at all when in clamshell.
Any idea on how to fix? I would really appreciate it.

Mine ocassionally does that in clamshell.
Intrestingly, the problem happens after I'd put it in a humid place, like my pocket while I'm biking.
It eventually goes away, if you keep it dry.

I don't think that's the problem. It only happens if the pda is not in clamshell. Even being partially open it still can happen. If I hold it tight in tablet, maybe with the screen being pushed a bit, it works fine then. More like something might be a bit loose.
I got a response to a similar post from omeone who claimed to know how to fix it, but then never posted the solution.

I'm sorry it took some time to answer your query!
First of all you need to be sure that your problem is the same as mine, ie a faulty digitizer contact under the frame, close to the hinge.
From what you are describing, I suspect your problem is quite different.
Anyway, to fix my NX80 malfunction, I inserted a small piece of diskette medium, folded twice, between the screen frame and the digitizer contact, to recover normal operation.
Be absolutely sure that you are in the same predicament, as lifting the frame could make things worse!
Good luck.

I think it does have to do with the screen being a little loose...and not making contact properly with those two little copper contacts. I've wedged a small piece of paper under each, will post if that works.

Well, the paper didn't do the trick but I have narrowed down the problem.
IT happens anytime the screen is moved out of the upright and locked position in clamshell.
Pressure to the right side hinge, where the screen assmebly moves forward to close the clamshell ,cures the problem.
Any idea on how to fix?
