Avantgo channels

Now that a version of avantgo is available that utilizes Hires+, my interest in it has grown again. What channels do you use? Any "secret" channels that you sync daily?

I don't know, just have run of the mill stuff. I had deleted the previous and havd not perused the AvantGo site yet.

Hotsyncing to the MS is still slow!

CBS Marketwatch; CNN; CNNMoney; Mapquest; MSNBC; 3 local channels; PDABuzz; WSJ; Variety; and a Yahoo page

Don't know what you exactly mean by secret, but you may want to have a look on my page :)

While i stopped using Avantgo in favor of Plucker, it did prompt me to look at my MS in defragmenter, it was pretty bad, hundreds of fragmented files. It was easy to fix, i just copied everything off my stick then formatted it and copied it all back on, ran defrag once (took seconds) and was done 0 fragmentation.

I wonder if it will have any performance effect? If not, it helped me waste a little time.

defraging a ms stick is a very dangerous thing to do.......

one 'slip' and you render the info on the stick useless. i wouldnt recommend it

I synced The Weather Channel from Avantgo for a long time, but tossed it in favour of AccuWeather. There something to be said for colour radar and satellite photos along with your forecast...

Overall, I have been pleased with AvantGo.  I even opted for the 2+MB account when they introduced it last year for $9.95/year for 2 years.

My favorite is "NY Times Front Page". Its all the front page stories for that day's paper in full format. I also like "Mature joke of the day", although its barely PG-13.
