Now if you join "ClubHandango" (what crap!), your price will be $18. And if you have the coupon code, your price is now about $16. Still a dollar more than just buying it from the Developer! What rubbish!

Makes Handango's $16 price a $4 savings. Not bad actually.

They never mentioned it was it was a single use promotion. I always thought it was only time limited as most promotions.

I started a purchase today and on entering the code, I got the very inelegant reply from them:
The promotion code JCHON20OFF is a single use promotion code, and you are attempting to use it a second time.

I felt like being treated as a cheater.
So I just cancelled all my orders. There are other places to buy softwares? Isn't it?
Now they have sent me a survey form to fill with promise of rewards & free software.
I just told them No! Thank You.

It's a marketing strategy. Instead of selling softwares with a 20% markup, they sell it at 40% (maybe developers can confirm this).

From time to time they do a "promotion". 20% off!!! . So we all rush (including myself) to buy at a bargain price. We are all to happy to buy it at a "bargain price", which in fact would be better called at "a reasonable price". As you said... great business for handango.

Well, Handango has a better commission than PG in some cases where the registration code algorithm is not disclodes to the ESD(costs a 5% tax at PalmGears).

For most ESDs like ClickApps/ClickGamer, PalmGear, and Handago, developers are have to agree to a clause that they can't sell their software cheaper on their own or other sites. This stinks for them because apps sold on these ESDs require devs to give them anywhere from 30% to 50% of the profit. On their own site, it's only as low as 5% to 20%.

Now that you're officially an Astraware customer, sign up for their newsletters. Zuma was on sale for $14.95 for its customers. That would be a much better deal in the future
