DIA Ultima (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=93948) has been updated for the LifeDrive on PalmGear. (You can't have a 4 GB PDA and look at the same bland DIA every day!!)

I tested the skins on the LifeDrive Simulator and saw no problems. It comes with a small app that make scrolling through DIA images easy, and two skins files storing 21 skins each, for a total of 42 DIA skins, and an enhanced KB. The free demo allows you to permanently use the first two skins from each file. You can see all 42 by scrolling through them with the five way button.

The free themes are galaxy, jaguar, Mexican pyramid, and purple skyline.

My favorite skin is the green marble. Kind of like putting a marble countertop on your DIA. It really looks slick.

I do have a question for LD users. The simulator has RAM and a SD Card. The files are happy in RAM and on the SD on the simulator. I need some feedback on how it performs with the skin files stored on the 4 GB drive? Couldn't do that with a simulator.

It sounds like you may have put the skin files on an SD card instead of into regular memory.

Fortunately, the current version, 3.0, had an SD card bug fixed back on May 25. You can download that, and put the skins on an SD card. If you do, they have to be in the /palm/launcher directory or they will not be found by the application. Or you can use regular memory.

Off of the PalmSource website, I would guess. You probably have to sign up as a developer though.

Actually I think it's on PalmOne's site since it's a simulator for a particular hardware. PalmSource has a generic OS5 simulator.

it's at palmgear or skins and background forum. if you use the skinDIA and it works great on the LifeDrive. just put the skinDIA on the ram, and make a folder on the sd card under palm/programs/skinDIA it wil find them here. Pruss from here is the one who made the utility and it is worth every penny free or not. Dr
