Is it possible to wirelessly connect to the internet using a router if you dont have a cable modem and you only have 56K? Or is there a modem you can connect directly to the internet with using your clie, i think i heard something about the ambicom modem being compatible with the NX? Can you use Aol Instant messanger using the ambicom modem?

With the Ambicom modem you can use any apps which use a network connection to the 'net (i.e. Mail, Browsers, AOL IM, etc.).
You can additionally use fax programs to send/receive faxes from the NX.
The drivers for the Ambicom can be found at www.leggnet.com/clie

To clarify:
The AmbiCom modem says it is only for the PPC. It will, however, work with the NX if you use the Sony CF Utility made for the Japanese market. Pelaca (God Bless Him) has translated the utility over to English and it can be found at www.leggnet.com/clie.
The model # of the AmbiCom modem is: CF56M-EZ
Here is the link to it at BestBuy.com: http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=488&cat=564&scat=&e=11174274
As far as I know, AmbiCom does not know that their modem will work in the NX.
