Has anybody been able to try the SMS Manager that comes with the CLIE TG50 or the NZ on the NX?

I haven't tried, but did not hear very good things of it. How about MonkeyMessenger? or GSMTool? both make a very good job. Email me and I can send you those in a zip-file to evaluate. thera are other freeware on the web, far more better than the standard progs.

thanks for your interest and avaialbility. I've tried the apps you're suggesting, but I wanted to check the SMS Manager that comes standard with the CLIE to see how it integrates with the rest of the apps.

Oh, well I do not think the it integrates for it is not standard implemented in the OS.
But you are right, this woulb be outrageous. THe same like integrating AcidImage instead of the Viewer app.

but I think to proprietary as if anybody could do this with external apps or apps which were not incluede. Think of the Clie amiler. Any integrity?

I have a NX60 and would also love to try the TG50 SMS Manager program. Where can you get it ?

I think someone with a TG50 should copy the files from ROM to Memory Stick and then move it to PC in order to copy it to the NX

You are kidding Strasser!
Short Message Services.
You can send a short message containing up to 160 signs to somebodies handy. Surely you have a handy, too.
In Greek they are for free, everybody visiting Greek can use it freeley. If you have a PDA you can enter text far more easy and you have choices ike Flash SMS. So the SMS is directly send into the display of the handy. Otherwise you must enter youre inbox to read the SMS. Nice thing. Kids here spend more than 40 bucks on sending SMS. That's ridiculus. Take as emails for Handy.
But c'mon you sure know that...

nx70:
in the us they normally don't know the term HANDY it's called mobile (phone) or portable. HANDY is just a german invention.

skizo:
you lucky one, in germany normally the cheapest price is about 15 EURO Cents (about 17 USD Cents), standard for most networks is 20 EURO Cents. Now THAT is "****ing expensive" ;-)

Hey MR. Herr NiTeSHiFT, in Germany we can also send them for 9cent if owning a cellur from T-Mobile. And thanks for the correction I mixed my very handy dandy mobile phone up. I heard some states don't provide this service.
The next generation of SMS is MMS and EMS. This should be a bit more familiar to you strasser. For this is the so called deluxe version. And if your service provider has the ability for it you will probably have read some ads about that. Enables you to send even sound and movies.
