Yesterday I had problems with my Clie NZ90 at a Starbucks, T-Mobile techsupport was great, and when I offered a couple of suggestions, they asked me to please e-mail them so that they could forward them to the people making this work.
Below is what I wrote. I would highly suggest everybody taking a moment to e-mail T-mobile and ask for improved Palm Support. We stand to gain a lot from them getting on the ball.

Good Morning Shayda,
It was a pleasure talking with you yesterday, you positively put a friendly face on tech-support. Thank you.
I have not been back to the same Starbucks, but will try to test it as soon as I can. As I told you on the phone, I have been using my Palm Device, a Sony Clie NZ90 before at other Starbucks with no problems. So I was comfortable with where I expected the login box to be.
Based on my work experience, I would like to suggest 3 alternative ways to make the experience easier for PalmOS and PocketPC users. As I am a PalmOS user, I am naturally most concerned with being able to easily use my Sony Clie on the T-Mobile network.
These suggestions should be seen in light of the large number of PalmOS based devices currently being released by Palm and Sony. The users of these devices are a significant group, able to affort the devices and premimum services to go with the devices.
1. use a sniffer to discover PPC and PalmOS users when they connect, then offer them a alternative login page, designed to work well on a 320x320 pixels screen.
2. instead of a sniffer - create a PPC and PalmOS default page which users could connect to and be re-directed to a alternative 320x320 pixels login screen.
3. FAVORITE solution. Create a PalmOS networking plug-in which automatically identifies the user when connecting to a T-Mobile network. This could also be implemented as a small app, which will let the user enter ID information, and connect, simply by selecting the T-Mobile logo in the main menu, then press "Connect" Only other option would be "Preferences".
I think anyone of these ways would be rather inexpensive to implement for T-Mobile, the third version would put a huge smile on all PalmOS users, and give a large number of them a irresistible reason (Justification) to sign up for T-Mobile..!
If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please do not reply to this email. Instead, please forward this email in its entirety (including the subject & ticket number) to hotspotcustomerservice@t-mobile.com.
Kind regards
Bo
