NZ Zoom Isnt Working

Just got the NZ last night and I can't seem to get the Zoom feature to work on the camera...through the settings, the zoom is adtivated by the jog dial, but it doesn't zoom. I have also tried changing the zoom with the on-screen option, no luck. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your camera is not in 1600x1200 hires mode if it is then zoom doesnt work.

In lower res modes zoom will work.

The Camera need to be in 800x600 mode in order for the "zoom" to work, it is not a actual zoom, or a digital zoom, they simply take the center 800x600 pixels of the chip when in lowrez mode and use this part of the image instead of the entire chip size.

Actually that help a little on battery saving. As you take 1600x1200 consume more battery than 800x600 and below as it take more time and batt life to transfer the data from ram to MS.

Hmmm Never thought about it that way,, though I DID know that about my work camera.. hmmm.

Well. 800x600 is great for e-mail..!

To be more exact info, the reason why it can be only zoom in digital in 800x600 format is they actually crop the center part of the max resolution of 1600x1200 dpi which provide the chip inside.
