So, I'm in the process of selecting a new mobile phone with Bluetooth, because I'm getting tired of having the hands-free headset getting ripped out of my ear when the cord catches on a handle, desk edge, chair, etc.

It occurs to me....would I be able to listen to my podcasts, on my TT3, using a BT earpiece? I don't need hi-fidelity sound, since I'm just listening to podcasts not music.

Do people do this already? I assume it's a simple matter to match up a BT earpiece with the TT3 bluetooth capabilities. Any issues with using the same earpiece both for the cellphone and the TT3? Anyone have a favorite BT earpiece?

TIA

Ed

Not possible since the T3 does not have a BT headset profile.

And my favorite BT headset (right now) is the HBH-660. I use it with a SE T610 phone.

So, I take it that means I can't add or create a headset profile, correct? Why is a headset profile different from any other kind of profile, like a bluetooth card in my laptop, or a bluetooth keyboard? Does it require a special driver on the Palm OS platform?

TIA

Based on what I've heard in the PPC camp, yes it takes special drivers. (And actually, the HP headphones seem to cause wacky things to happen on PPC's when the driver is loaded because it's not an official part of the BT stack.)
