Hi, today I went to the Sony and had few trials on TG-50, SJ-33, T665...

I know that TG-50 is 200mhz and the other two are 66mhz.

But how can you tell the performance difference?
For example, when can we see the performance difference?

coz if I don't need voice recorder and bluetooth, I could use the SJ-33.

Thanks for any comments :)

Movie playing, opening larger pics, scrolling, rendering large documents in word to go, etc. It really is useful, but if you don't do the above, then the SJ would be fine for you :)

can use LCD analyzer and try the speed of graphics rendering. TG-50 is 2sec....Tungsten T is 8sec.

Or run yCPUBench, which is fully OS 5 optimized with armlet versions of all benchmarks. Find it at http://www.hotpaw.com/rhn/hotpaw/

I'd like to know what the TG-50 numbers are for 68k emulation (since that's how most apps run).

Where you will notice the difference on OS5 devices is with apps using full ARM processor capabilities like Movie Playback, Flash Animations, viewing images in Clie Viewer and other areas. But, the trade off is when you run those programs they use more battery power.

One of the reasons I'm switching from T665 to TG50 is because Mapopolis. The map rendering is instantaneous on TG50 whereas with T665 there is a considerable lag. Battery power is another reason.

I have heard that if you are using non-OS5 program, the performance between TG-50 and SJ is not a big difference...Isn't it?
