I'm thinking about buying the camera module for my SJ33. How is the quality? Is it worth it? Any problems?

The money would probably be better spent on a digital camera if quality is what your going for. If portability/handiness is what you need then you might check it out further.

Sure, if you want to pay $75 to $140 for a toy. The camera isn't very good and is way over priced. You can almost get a 1.3 or 1.5MP digital camera for what you'd pay for the MS Camera.

It all depends on your needs and expectations...
I use the camera almost daily on my job...which is basically sales and installation of security, fire, surveillance, and sound systems. I take pics to point out locations where devices are to be installed. I then print a contact sheet of 9 or 12 images per page, hand write some notes directly on the photo paper, give it to the installers, and they can use the pics to find their way around the location. The pics stay in the customers folder, so we know what was installed where. No more drawing floor plans!
Dont expect to take portraits or stunning sunsets with this camera...the resolution may look great (ummm "good") on the screen, but enlarged the pics look awful. I still cant make my pics look anything like the sample images! If you want "high quality", you dont want this camera.
A plus is that you can have a camera without having another device on your hip...the camera has a nice little case which fits in a pocket. Just remove the memory stick, insert the camera, shoot some images, remove the camera...and back at your computer or laptop, a hotsync uploads the images to the Palmgear Lite folder, click to choose the images to print, and in about a minute (on my printer) I can have 12 pics on a letter size page ready to go back to the field.

Don't pay more that half price for it. Then its worth it.

Thx. ;)
I have one as a gift. Personally I wouldn't buy it, unless it cost $20 from looking at the picture quality, which really really sucks.

If I recall correctly, the resolution is only 320x320. Looks fine if you're only looking at pictures on your clie, but not even worth a look on a PC. I've heard that some use if mostly for the address book, which allows pictures to be attached to entries... nice if you aren't good with names->faces. But for $150, i'd rather buy a used 1.something or 2.something digital cam. hope this helps.

320x240, frightingly enough, the exact resolution of a PPC switched.

yes. w/ pg pocket, but the images either have to come straight from a digital camera or can can upload jpgs if you rename the file extension.
