Haven't posted for a while but...

I am thinking of doing a hard reset this weekend for the purpose of NOT doing a restore or sync.
I am planning on backing up all data off the PC and then want to act as if I have never set up the NX70V before.
The reason is I have a corrupted backup or something, IE:

JackFlash says I have files on Internal or Flash that aren't there when I try to move my backup of them from MS or CF.

My startup screen after soft reset does strange things (only displays half of the Palm logo).

My Sony MMUtil no longer works as my MS Pro sticks with movies show as "?" in the MS tray. They show the file correctly in a card reader on PC.

The not so obvious problem is that I have a few hundred dollars in apps with the same User ID and cannot afford to start over because my registration no longer works due to any unforseen issues with this process. In other words, if I uninstall the Palm stuff on the PC, will I have a problem with trying to reinstall with the previously used User ID?

I also can only afford to spend a little more than half a day on this process.

Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Jay

I would go to C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\ then delete your username. That would probably do it. Or just unistall all the palm programs in your computer

Correct way to do a full reset:

Erase your entire folder in the palm directory (if you really dont want to, erase the contents of the subfolders.

Hard reset the PDA.

Sync, and when it asks you to select a user name from the list, select your previous user name.

Install all of your programs again.
