Wow that's ugly and weird. Not that the current X-box is pretty. Hopefully this one will be much smaller and lighter. I'm currently scheming to bring my X-box with me to the theatre I'll be working at this summer, but it will basically require me to bring an extra piece of luggage, and I'm not sure I want to deal with that.

Meh. Everyone talks about how ugly it is, I personally wouldn't really care, it sits somewhere in a cabinet or rug and what's important is what's inside the thing.

One thing that kind of surprises me about it is the color. All white? Reminds me of Apple stuff. I guess it's what they wanted though. I'd personally like that thing better in black, but whatever.

Everyone seems to hate the styling of it but me. Oh well.

Exactly, Size!!! Left alone to just Sega, the X"Sega"Box, would've been nice and small, but MS got a hold of it and bloated it like all of their software. :)

Here's something else that people are talking about; The controllers are wireless, and if you want to play a huge LAN game with your buddies, one will need more than 4 channels to play that way. Hopefully Microsoft is fully aware of this and has a solution.

Good point. I would think they've looked into it. My biggest issue with wireless was that my old 2.4 Ghz phones had auto-channel-select, and sometimes they would lock on to my Airport and interfere with my internet connection.

Check out this article from I Cringley's and his views on the XBox360, on how MS is bascially undercuting its OEM manufactures like Dell, since this is a Microsoft PC. I wouldn't buy it as a PC replacement though, especially since it's lacking in the areas I need, but for a game machine it's very impressive:

Radio frequencies have different channels that can be set to the same range (depending on the broadcast). The controller thing wouldn't even have the possibility of creating a problem unless there were more than 16 controllers in the same area, but there will probably be 32 or more set to each Xbox and not just 16.

These new game systems are wickedly powerful. Now were the freak is Virtual Reality??? I'm definately getting a Nintendo Revolution, but I don't think I can pass up the PS3. My only want for it would be a VR setup, and if I can't have that, than a freaking mouse and keyboard. I despise thumb aiming.

IMO, It's not bad. I wish it were black or silver instead of white. The white makes it look like a kitchen appliance. I think the PS3 is ugly altogether. it's too curvy for me

Microsoft is blowing it big time. They should've left this thing a game machine, hired a different E3 coordinator and marketing director and not bothered the fake audience.

I hope they redesign the case. I wouldn't want to got a friend's house and have my eyes burned out by its cheesy design. :p

I'm gonna laugh if Revolution is $150 - $200 than the next lowest system cost. That would be awesome as hell. Other than that, though, I don't much care for Revolution's apparent potential. X360 looks poised to attempt a head-on power battle with PS3 (that it cannot win, rofl), so that's good. It'll bring spice to the fight.

I think I'll finally be buying another Playstation next year. This way I'll have access to some of the PS2 games that looked interesting like GT4. I on the other hand will definately be buying another Nintendo. I can't pass up Nintendo's attention to quality games, and of course there's Zelda. Ahhhhh. ~i~ :)

If you watch Microsoft's marketing ploy(Cunning Not) from E3, the only competition the PS3 has, well sorta, is the "current" XBox. :)
