Clie TG 50 poor sound quality

Hi all, this is my first time using this message board. I wanted to see if any of you who have a tg50 have noticed that the sound quality coming from the mp3 player on the headphones is staticky? is that just my clie of is it a flaw from the microphone being too close to the headphone jack? any clues? Thanks for the help. I have had my tg50 for like 3 days and I am just starting to play with it. Ohh I am playing 128kb mp3, the quality is fine on my computer and on my previous SJ33. Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I have noticed the same problem with static and a popping sound that relates to the Memory Stick light coming on or with MS access. It is annoying as hades, but something that with the TG50 has to be dealt with until some fix is released.

Wew! i though it was just my clie and that I would have to return my clie to the store. Your know you are right! sony has a tough job to please everyone. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, fellas, I just don't hear it. Mine is as clear as my NR70V and T665 were. Could it be the type of memory stick you're using?

I use only licensed first party cards (Sony only) and with either my 32 or 128MB sticks I get the same problem.
