View Full Version : Handstory question

I recently purchased Handstory Suite 2.3. Other than what I'm about to describe, it's been a great web clipping app. It's extremely easy to use, even though I haven't figured out everything it will do.
But... When I'm viewing images on my N610C, if I try to scroll to the next (or previous) image without backing out to the list, it locks up: the screen goes blank, and nothing works until I do a soft reset.
I tried the Handstory support, but so far, no response.
Any ideas?

Ouch...it shouldn't do that! Haven't seen this before, so can't comment. But HandStory will respond...I've sent them about a dozen inquiries over the last few months, and they have always responded. They aren't real quick about it, and it has taken as much as three days to hear back, but they do respond.

Never seen that. How are you converting the images? Have you tried converting them to 16-bit, 256 colors, or grayscale?

I just recently bought Handstory to replace avantgo. I'm quite happy with it generally but I wish there were more sites available on the clip server. I miss having the ones that I used to access on Avantgo. Is it possible to clip my own pages and have them run the same way.? I know there is a button that says Clip to Palm. I've done that but nothing seems to get saved on my clips list.

I made direct clips of most of the sites I like, including some AvantGo doesn't support. You can also write scripts, but I haven't tried to learn that yet.

Right click the HandStory icon in the system tray, select Clip Editor, select New Direct Clip. Type in a title for the clip, either type or paste in the URL, select the link depth (how many layers to download) and color choices. Then I always tap Test Clip to ensure it will work and give the desired result. If you like the result, then click on Save. When you are back in the clip list, select the new clip and click on Register Clip. Now it will show up under Clip Manager and the Update list. That's all there is to it!
