Hey all,
There's a new beta of iSiloX with a web clipping button that installs in your Internet Explorer. Very nice, now the program is really as easy to use as anything else.
I think there's also a scheduled automatic conversion too, via Windows Scheduler or whatever it's called. Great for AvantGo subbers-

Hmmm I'd rather have that option on Camino or Mozilla or Safari...

Does Handstory allow you to block links to ad sites on downloaded web pages, and only include links matching a particular pattern (such as "http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/low/football/* ")?
Both Plucker and iSilo now allow this (and Plucker includes a large list of excluded ad site links when you install it).

Handstory has a clipping language.. and there is a way to write custom scripts for sites that will allow for this type of function. So far though, the scripting seems pretty involved, and requires you to sit down and really learn it. No easy way to accomplish it :(
I think I'll e-mail the people at Handstory with a feature request!

I bought iSilo a while ago, and it's just grown on me I guess. I know Handstory is excellent too, but I don't remember the pro's and con's of each.
Does Handstory compress files? iSilo does a pretty good job with compression, I have a ton of books on my memory stick. Another aspect I like about iSilo is easy customizing of HTML conversion- you can unfold tables, remove manual line breaks, etc. Don't know if you have to use that scripting language to do this in Handstory.

As far as space usage, Plucker (www.plkr.org and hires.plkr.org) is still the best, it uses up to 35% less space than Isilo, for example.

has anyone gotten sheduling to work from the command line version for Mac OSX? I want to be able to have one file for converting webpages a la Avantgo but only want certain files to be updated everyday, every week, every month, based on the update schedule of the website.

Speaking as one of the "people" at turcic.com, as far as the new additions to the forum, I would be happy if someone could help out on a specific Mac OS section (looking around, smiling).

WAAAAH! Just to be clear: I was making a joke. Now it's easy to use... like Handstory already is.
