View Full Version : Need a pouch that will fit Treo with silicon skin

I just ordered one of those silicon skin-type cases for my Treo 650. It looks both like it would reduce the risk of dropping the treo and help protect it if I do.

however, there is no screen protection in this "skin," so I would like to carry it in a pouch-type case on my belt. Most of them look rather form-fitting and I am concerned they will not accommodate the silicon-wrapped Treo. Can anyone recommend a pouch-type case with belt clip that is a looser fit so that it has room to accommosdate the larger size created by the silicon skin?

I thought about that. Could not find any in my searches. I'd like the krussel case to fit over one of those.

Not sure why nobody seems to talk about the Krussel Case. I love this thing. Almost entirely covered, fits over it with egrips on, light weight, quality, clips onto a belt or clip piece can be removed from back of case if belt clip not used...

Tixx, that is a VERY nice case. I almost ordered one when I was deciding which type to get. I ended up with a silicone skin type and I really like it. Although, the one I ordered came with a belt clip, but because the skin is so flexible the clip always felt a little flimsy to me. So I cut it off! :) That's why I just ordered one of those pouch type that will hold a skinned Treo.

Did you get the one that has a cut-out over the screen? If not, have you had any problems with imput on the screen?

I don't have a screen cut-out. I use my fingers to input and I have no problems at all. You have to have a little bit of finger nail though for precision.

That's good to hear. If my skin/pouch combo feels too cumbersome I will have to try the Krusell case.

BlueM Im glad you like my case review thread. That Seidio case for skinned treos is junk, I just did a review on it. Speck makes a skin that comes with a holster but I also think its junk. Nutshell makes an awesome case for skinned treos or you could also use a sidekick horizontal pouch clip.

Heres a pic of the nutshell. You can get it in any color with a belt clip or belt loop, with or without a velcro flap closer.

Heres a link to the Nutshell site. click me! (http://http://tuff-as-nuts.com/treo-650-belt-case.html)

The Seidio review starts on 5-17-05 --->here (http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42313&perpage=20&pagenumber=9)

I went for a Krusell case and removed the multidap at the back. I also removed the zipper pull. It's the slimmest case you can possible have for the Treo... and it protects the corners and edges too.

I was wondering since a skin case fits, how is the vaja compared to the skin case in thickness.

Thanks

Try this one. If you don't mind the HP logo. I picked one of these up last week at Staples. It fits the iPaq h2215 and h4100. It was on clearance for $10.00. It has elastic sides that will expand to allow a snug fit. It'll hold your treo with silicone skin nicely.
